Lichtbende brings light to life through live animation. Blending visual art, music, and theatre, the company has been creating unique light-art performances since 2010 using antique magic lanterns combined with live contemporary music. Every production is an authentic and heartfelt piece of musical light theatre, crafted with exceptional artistry, craftsmanship, and passion. <\/p>

Wordless stories come to life through enchanting magic lantern projections on a giant screen, seamlessly woven together with live music. The audience experiences the magic as it happens: the artists perform and create the projections live, right behind the screen. <\/p>

Lichtbende’s poetic and evocative performances have become a familiar presence on renowned international stages around the world.<\/p>

By returning to the very origins of audiovisual media, Lichtbende uncovers the magic of creating moving images with light. Using the magic lantern the precursor to the modern film projector, invented in 1659 by the Dutch scientist Christiaan Huygens the company transforms a centuries-old invention into a contemporary theatrical experience. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
